Introduction:

IXPE flooring underlayment is a Premium Grade cross-linked polypropylene foam with self-sealing lip and tape system. It is the ideal choice for most Laminate, Engineered and Solid hardwood flooring applications and can used for Floating, Nail Down, and Double Glue Down installations. Ideal in both residential and commercial projects. Lip & tape system joins rolls at the seams ensuring moisture protection.

How to Install

Step 1: Be sure the subfloor is clean, smooth, free of dust and debris, and dry
Step 2: Roll QuietWalk Underlayment over the subfloor with the vapor barrier film (imprinted side) facing up
Step 3:The perimeter edges of QuietWalk underlayment need to be 1/2″ to 3/4″ away from the wall
Step 4: Seams need to be butted together flush, do not overlap the pad
Step 5:Tape the seams with duct tape, unless the roll is provided with a factory attached lip and tape system
Step 6:Install laminate flooring according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions
